BIOGRAPHY

Chris Leung
BSc(hons) DipArch MArch ARB(reg) RIBA

Architectural Training
I trained as an architect at the Bartlett UCL in London where I graduated in 1998 under Professor Stephen Gage in Diploma Unit 14.

Work Experience
I have worked in architectural practice, on a government research programme, in environmental engineering and I have taught at undergraduate and post-graduate level. I have also been a specialist consult on several built and proposed art installations that used the sun and solar related technologies.

Research Interests
I have been developing research interests since 1999 through my involvement with the research group Sixteen*(makers) on a variety of installations. The most recent has been part of the “Architects in Residence” programme in Kielder Forest, Northumberland, UK.

Current Research Project

This is the development of a vision-based system for analysing responsive architecture, consisting of a hybrid of direct and remote sensing that are composited together to provide visualisation for presentation and analysis. The research is being developed to be integrated with Architectural and Engineering design software as a decision-support tool. It forms the research for my Engineering Doctorate (EngD) at UCL.
